INVITATION TO BID The CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG OWNER will receive sealed BIDS for the Generator Connections Project until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the City of Fredericksburg City Hall, 126 W. Main Street, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. The BIDS shall be sealed and addressed to: Generator Connections Project City of Fredericksburg Attn: Kris Kneese, P.E. 126 W. Main St. Fredericksburg, TX 78624 Bids will be received at the above address until 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, and shortly thereafter the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud in the City Hall Fire Training Room. The objective and goal for this project is the installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning of back-up generators at the municipal sites listed above. The generators and associated automatic transfer switches have been procured by the City of Fredericksburg and are in storage at city facilities. The City of Fredericksburg will coordinate with the contractor for access to, and delivery of generators, switches, and other items as required. Bidding and contract documents may be examined or obtained electronically starting on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 on the Citys website at www.fbgtx.org or for viewing only at the City of Fredericksburg City Hall, 126 W. Main St., Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent of the Bidders maximum bid price. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds. A non-mandatory prebid conference will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at City Hall (126 W. Main St.) 2 nd Floor Fire Training Room. The City of Fredericksburg reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in any BID, the OWNER reserves the right to determine which BIDS are the lowest and/or best, and to award the contract on this basis.
